Dahlia Sunshine has beautiful yellow flowers with a red center. The stems and leaves are a striking dark, purple-green, making them extra eye-catching in the garden! The heart of the flower contains lots of pollen which makes this flower extremely suitable for bees and butterflies.

To promote prolonged, lush blooms, it is advisable to regularly remove spent flowers. Dahlias often begin blooming from mid-June and continue until the first frost in October. During the growing season, dahlias develop rhizomes in the soil, which should be removed before the first frost and stored in a dry, frost-free and dark place. If necessary, store the tubers in cardboard boxes with some sand. The following year, starting in mid-May, when there is no chance of frost, the tubers can be planted outside again, preferably in a very sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. These perennial plants are not hardy and reach a height of about 70 cm.
