CULTIVATION TIPS:
Mint is perennial, hardy and grows in both sun and partial shade. The plant prefers a moist, but well-drained, humus-rich soil. Mint is a weedy plant. It is therefore advisable to grow it in a pot or tub, which you may then bury in the ground.
The plant attracts bees and butterflies to the garden with its strong aroma.
USES:
As the name suggests, this herb smells strongly of cologne. We can make an aromatic tea from the leaves. We can also add some of the finely chopped leaves to salads
Mint tea is good for digestion. It gets rid of indigestion, flatulence and cramps. Also nausea disappears by mint tea. We make mint tea by letting 5 leaves steep for 10 minutes in a cup of boiled water. Note: mint should not be given to children for more than one week continuously and never to babies! Vaporizing with mint is good against nasal congestion.
