Salvia microphylla 'Hot Lips' is a beautiful, colorful eye-catcher for your border. In early summer the flowers are red, but the tops soon turn white. That mix of colors looks great in your garden.
This plant provides prolonged & lush blooms from June to November. Interestingly, during warm nights the white part almost disappears, but as soon as the temperature drops again, the white hue returns. This "lipstick look" therefore accounts for the name 'Hot Lips'. The flowers are eagerly visited by pollinators - such as bees & butterflies - in your garden.
