Osmanthus x burkwoodii, also called mock holly, is a large evergreen shrub. It has a compact, bushy and rounded form

It is a hybrid of o.delavayi and o.decorus. The leaves are dark green in color. They are shiny and leathery.

FLOWING:
This mock hollyhock blooms from April through May with abundant small white flowers. These flowers are in clusters and have a sweet fragrance. In the fall, small blue-black fruits can sometimes begin to grow

LOCATION AND MAINTENANCE:
It likes a position in full sun or semi-shade. The osmanthus does well in almost any soil that is not too wet. It also requires little maintenance: it is a slow grower so does not need to be pruned often. Remove dead wood. The osmanthus is very hardy, and is resistant to air pollution.
