Product information "Nasturtium - pot ø13 cm (Tropaeolum majus)"

The East Indian cherry is an edible ornamental plant.

CULTIVATION TIPS:
The Indian cress is a 1 year old, not hardy plant. It prefers a place in the sun and is undemanding in terms of soil. It is a very useful plant in our vegetable garden, it attracts aphids and thus spares the other crops. It also repels the greenhouse whitefly from our vegetable garden.

USES:
In the kitchen we can use both the leaves, the flower, the flower bud and the seeds. The taste of the leaves is somewhat similar to watercress and is very tasty added to salads. The flowers are slightly softer in flavor and provide a nice colorful touch. The seeds can be pickled in jars, they are an excellent substitute for capers

Indian cress is a source of vitamin C and it increases our resistance, it helps us with a starting flu, bronchitis, cough or cold. The herb also helps with a bladder infection. It stimulates our digestion and helps burn fats. If we are cold then a cup of tea of Indian cress can warm us up completely, put 1 teaspoon of herb to 1 cup of boiling water, let steep for 10 minutes.
