Product information "Pheromone capsule against codling moth"
- against codling moth
- 1 pheromone capsule (without the trap)
- 1 trap per 5 fruit trees
- Application: April-May-June
- 1 capsule = 4 to 6 weeks active
Pheromone against codling moth (Cydia Pomonella). The capsule is active for 6 weeks, 4 weeks in warm months. 1 capsule per bag.
Why? In apple and pear trees the codling moth creates worms that make passages in the fruit up to the core. The fruit then begins to rot internally and is no longer edible.
How to recognize? The codling moth is +- 9 mm in size. Color: gray with a golden spot on the wing tip. They fly mainly in the evening at temperatures above 13 ° C
To be used with a delta trap (not supplied). Hang 1 trap per 5 fruit trees starting in late April. Application: April-May-June
This pheromone attracts male codling moths and thus prevents reproduction. Female moths can no longer lay eggs if they are not fertilized. This reduces worm infestation. The codling moth affects both apples and pears
How to use
Drop the pheromone into the basket of the trap and close with the cap. The pheromones are all individually packaged in an aluminum pouch allowing you to drop the pheromone capsule directly from the pouch into the basket. This ensures that you do not contaminate the pheromone with the smell of your hands. You should NOT open or touch the pheromone.
Note: the capsules look empty (translucent) but they are definitely not! The pheromones are released from the capsule over several weeks. So you can 't see any liquid.
