Lentils
Sprout vegetable can be easily grown with water. Lentils are sweet, crunchy and work well in sweet or savory dishes, also delicious in a dressing or cooked in soup. Dip briefly in hot water or wok before using. Rich in vitamins A, B, C and E.
Sprinkle the seeds in a thin layer on the seed tray and rinse gently under the tap. Fill the glass bowl with water to the bottom of the grid and place in the windowsill in a normal room temperature ( 20-22C ). Change the water every day.
You can also fill an empty butter tray with wet cotton wool and sprinkle the seeds on it. Keep the cotton wool moist and you can enjoy your own sprouts. After 5 days you can eat the sprouts (which are then 3-5 cm long).
Prolonging by a few days gives some more leaves to the sprout. The sprouts, without losing their healthy properties, can be kept in the refrigerator for about a week.
