Product information "Mini snack pepper red - pressing block 10x10 cm"

Red snack peppers have red a sweet, fruity flavor. These can also be grown perfectly in a pot.

Fruit length: 12-14 cm.

PLANTING STAND:
80 cm x 40 cm

CULTIVATION TIPS:
Growing peppers is similar to growing tomatoes, but peppers grow slower. They do not tolerate frost!
Do not plant the root ball too deep so that the stem does not come into contact with the soil. The soil should be warm enough to plant in, and provide good organic fertilizer. After fruiting, we can give an additional fertilizer dissolved in water. They need enough water, but should not be too wet. It is best to plant sweet peppers in tunnels or greenhouses; in hot summers it is also possible to grow sweet peppers in sunny, sheltered spots outdoors. When growing in pots you need to fertilize and water regularly

Peppers should be supported with a few sticks around the plant or on a wire (or 2 wires).

TIP : it is advisable to harvest the first fruits green so as not to burden the plant with too many fruits for too long. This way the plant will give more fruits

ADVICE FOR PROBLEMS:
Peppers are quite susceptible to aphids. It is advisable to keep them under control, as aphids also transmit various diseases from one plant to another and make the plant weaker. Natural enemies of the aphids (ladybug, parasitic wasp, gall midge) can keep the aphids in check if present. Rinsing the aphids off the leaves also keeps them from spreading too quickly. Rinsing with an infusion of nettle also helps.

Nose rot can also be a problem in peppers. This involves the development of brown spots at the tips of our peppers. Causes are a too dry soil, too little calcium in the soil and disturbed salt concentration, as a result of which the fruit cannot absorb enough water. Make sure the plants get enough moisture, apply crop rotation and be careful with chemical fertilizers!

HARVEST AND STORAGE:
Store peppers for up to 1 week in a cool place at 10-12°C
