Spinach Nores grows slowly and is therefore suitable for summer cultivation. This large leaved, dark green variety does not bloom easily. The tender leaves taste excellent. The variety is also resistant to physio 1 and 2 of the fungal disease wolf. Sow: from mid March to mid July. Sow widely (distribute the seed well) in a seedbed or in rows 20 cm apart. Sow in well loosened soil. Spinach needs a lot of nitrogen. Keep the soil sufficiently moist.
Outside the Netherlands, spinach is often harvested as a 'head'. In that case, the spacing should be adjusted to about 40 cm.
Harvesting: depends on sowing time. From what was sown in April you can cut the leaves 6-7 weeks later. Those sown in June can sometimes be harvested as early as 4 weeks after sowing. Remove stubbles after harvesting.
