Akelei, come in a variety of colors and ideal for cottage t.e.m. gardens and woodland planting. Also very pretty in borders and wildflower gardens or as cut flowers. They can naturalize quickly. Aquilegia is a hardy perennial that prefers full sun or partial shade. A well-drained soil is also important and it is best to avoid soil that is too moist or windy.
