More tips for making your garden hedgehog-friendly:
• Never give a hedgehog milk, as this can make the animal seriously ill. It is recommended, however, to offer the hedgehog specially formulated hedgehog food and water. This way, the hedgehogs will go into hibernation with a full belly.
• Install hedgehog gates in your garden so hedgehogs can easily cross over to neighboring gardens
• Leave the fall leaves where they are—that way, you won’t have to bother with the leaf rake, and garden wildlife can hide among them. A win-win situation 😉
