Barenbrug Water Saver grass seed is a unique grass mixture for establishing an ecological lawn.
This grass seed results in a deep-rooting lawn that can withstand prolonged drought very well. So you can save a lot of euros on watering!
This grass seed is slower to emerge than the standard grass mixture. It germinates at a soil temperature as low as 15°C. We recommend sowing from April to early October, but of course this depends on weather conditions.
Among other things, this grass seed is used for establishing lawns on dry sandy soil, as it roots up to 60cm deep (instead of 10-15cm). Grass resistant to drought: While other lawns fail and dry out due to heat and drought, your Water Saver lawn will stay green. This is because this grass mixture contains grass varieties that excel during drought and heat! Barenbrug Water Saver grass seed also contains varieties known for their restorative ability. Thus, the slightly discolored grasses quickly turn green again after dry weather.

How to use
- Level the surface, remove stones & weeds and fertilize the soil
- Sow in two crossed directions
- Rake the soil gently to bury the seeds and roll the surface for good contact between the soil and seeds
- Irrigate regularly to prevent desiccation
- Mow at grass length 6-8cm, cutting to 4cm. Germination 2-4 weeks. Mow regularly, and fertilize & water adequately
