Little Gem belongs to the family of leafy vegetables. It is a small, head of romaine lettuce with curly leaves. These are slightly juicier and crispier than those of regular romaine lettuce

LETTUCE TIPS:
Lettuce can be planted outside from March until the end of August. Basically, lettuce is frost sensitive, but it can tolerate some cold. In February and September, it is recommended to plant in greenhouse. Early March you can plant in open air with a fleece cover. The fleece cover is also an extra protection against aphids. In April you can grow without a cover
Lettuce thrives in all kinds of soil with normal fertilization and humidity. Do not plant lettuce too deep or the lower leaves will rot more easily! You can place the press block halfway above the ground. It is best to water lettuce in the morning so that the leaves can dry. If they stay wet for too long, they will rot more easily.

Snails also like to eat lettuce, and there are many remedies for this, such as slug pellets and all kinds of natural home remedies.
With a long period of persistent rain, lettuce can become rotten inside.
