Picking lettuce in pots is a new way of growing lettuce! No more half heads of lettuce or leftovers from a bag of pre-packaged lettuce in the fridge. Grow your own lettuce mix. And always cut the right amount super fresh according to your own wishes and needs.
Our pick-your-own lettuce is a specially selected mixture of different varieties of so-called "baby-leaf" lettuce. These are varieties that can be harvested young, before they form a head. This allows you to quickly prepare a delicious, varied and colorful salad
TILTING TIPS:
Place the jars in a sunny spot. They are perfect in the kitchen on the windowsill, so you always have them close at hand. The pots can also be planted in pots on the terrace or in the garden.
Give enough water so that the plants always stay fresh. The soil in the pot is of good quality and contains sufficient fertilizers so you do not have to add anything. When the leaves are +/-10 cm big you can harvest and use them. Cut them off +/- 1 cm above the ground, with a knife or scissors. This will allow the plants to grow back, and you won't have any soil stuck to your knife. You do not have to cut off everything at once. The cut leaves will sprout again so you can harvest after 3 weeks (depending on temperature and sun).
CULINARY:
Always use the young leaves fresh. Cut them off just before use and make a super fresh healthy sandwich or delicious salad
