At the foot of the boot of Italy (Calabria) lies Tropea, a beautiful coastal town with a thriving horticultural area in the hinterland. This is where the famous sweet red onion comes from, which we offer here. Recommended by a customer and according to us the sweetest (and delicious!) to eat raw in salads, but also fried, pickled and stir-fried. By the way, these onions are also very tasty when harvested half-grown (=young). This is the species with an elongated shape.
Sow: pre-sow from March and transplant as seedlings or sow from mid-April in rows (improved with potting soil)
