Orius Laevigatus, also known as flower bug, is a useful predatory bug that eats young and adult thrips, not eggs! Orius is a glutton for food and can be used indoors or outdoors, but it is important to make sure there is plenty of pollen for the predatory bugs. You release Orius by placing the predatory bugs in groups on leaves or spread over 5 points on large leaves. Orius should be released at night. Orius is effective for heavy infestation of adult thrips and larvae and can be used on houseplants, fruits and vegetables.
