Product information "Holy flower, cypress herb, olive herb - pot 13cm (Santolina rosmarinifolia)"

Plant with fresh green leaves and small creamy-yellow flowers. Stems and leaves smell and taste surprisingly like pickled olives and have many culinary applications.

CULTIVATION TIPS:
This striking perennial is well suited to "the south-facing garden. It requires a sunny, warm spot on soil that is not too poor and outside the shadow zone of trees and shrubs. This herb can also be used as a border plant and tolerates fairly dry soils. Relatively dry habitat in moderately nutrient-rich soil.

CULINARY:
The aroma smells remarkably of pickled olives. A real delicacy with Mediterranean pasta dishes, pizza, pestos leaf salads, antipasta and tomato mozzarella. Also ideal for pickling olives and gherkins. Also try baked potatoes with rosemary and olive herb. Really delicious!

HARVEST AND STORAGE:
The more harvested, the bushier the plant becomes.

VARIA:
Try olive herb in prosecco. Just put a few 5cm long stems of the olive herb in the glasses. Not only deorative, but ok a caress for the tongue.
