Kraunema contains nematodes to control the larvae of vine weevil. Kraunema is applied curatively. Outdoors Kraunema can be used in March-April and August-November. In a greenhouse or indoors (orangery) Kraunema can be used all year round because the larvae are also present in the soil all year round. The soil should be moist and have a minimum soil temperature of 5°C. The soil should remain moist for 2 to 4 weeks after application. Do not apply in full sun. The nematodes enter the larvae through natural body openings and then excrete bacteria - with which they live in symbiosis - into the host. The bacteria are lethal to the larvae. The larvae turn pale yellow and die within 2 days. The nematodes multiply in the dead larvae, resulting in the development of a new generation that goes in search of new prey. For 10 m2. The product can be stored for minimum 1 week at 5°C, to be used before the expiration date.
