Contains attractant (pheromone) that attracts male boxwood moths, thus preventing reproduction. Female moths can no longer lay eggs if they are not fertilized, resulting in fewer future larvae. In this way, you can control the boxwood moth in the garden in an ecological way.

PHEROMONE CAPSULES, WHAT? These capsules release pheromones, a sexual attractant, that attract male boxwood moths and lure them into the vol. This prevents them from fertilizing the female boxwood moths present. It is an ecological way to make the garden boxwood moth-free. Since it is a fragrance, the capsule does not contain a liquid. It appears empty but does contain pheromones.

WHERE TO HANG? Hang the pheromone trap near the boxwood (for example, on a tree) Place 1 trap per 50 m2 (heavy infestation) or 1 trap per 100 m2 (light infestation) from early April to early October. Boxwood moths fly at a height of 1.7m so you will catch more specimens if the trap is at this height.

WORK DURATION? A pheromone capsule is normally active for 6 weeks. However, in warmer months the working time is 4 weeks because the pheromones will 'evaporate' faster due to the heat. Keep in mind to change the pheromone capsule at the right time. In total you need 4 to 6 capsules for a full season

WHEN TO USE? Late May to mid-October. Renew the pheromones every 4 to 6 weeks.

HOW?
- Do not touch the capsule! Your own body odor disturbs the smell. Drop the capsule into the trap without touching it, or use gloves to hold it.
- Do not open the capsule, or the pheromones will dissipate-
Place the capsule in the place provided in a funnel trap.
- The male moths will fly around the pheromone until they become tired and fall into the funnel trap. Once in the funnel trap, they cannot get out.

STORAGE?
You can store the capsules in the freezer for up to 2 years, or in the refrigerator for several months. Leave the aluminum bag closed when you don't need the capsule.
