These small but very agile soil predatory mites actively hunt blood lice. They can be used in the henhouse, pigeon loft or aviary. This army of predatory mites quickly puts an end to the blood lice problem. Check the coop regularly for blood lice starting in the spring. Up to 12 m² (ground surface + side walls).
With DCM Hypoaspi-Guard® you order a cardboard seed tube with 10,000 predatory mites mixed with vermiculite, good for 12 m² (ground surface + side walls). Scatter the contents in the laying nest and between the cracks and crevices of the side walls; there is no use scattering it on the hens or in the outside run. Once the predatory mites have passed the larval stage, they actively search for the blood lice in the hen house. The first days after releasing the predatory mites you will see more blood lice, this is normal, they are chased by the predatory mites. Predatory mites are most active between 15 and 25°C; you can successfully introduce them from April to September.
