Turnip greens Namenia. This seed is from selected plants of original tundra varieties. Namenia or Leafy Turnip is a very tender turnip variety with fine leaves. This variety is very desirable as a spring vegetable, but can also be sown in June. It can be sown both under glass (in a flat bed) and in the garden. Timely harvesting is desirable. If the crop is left on the land for too long, the chances of it 'shooting' (coming into flower) are high. Sow: from March to June in the garden. In the flat tub already as of January (until March). Sow in rows, approx. 1 cm deep. Do not sow too densely (or too thickly), as this increases the risk of blemishes (rot) in the crop. If you sow widely, then after sowing rake the seeds lightly (approx. 1 cm deep) and press the soil after the raking. Keep the seed bed sufficiently moist. Harvesting: You can already harvest when the leaves are approx. 15 cm above the ground. Cut the leaves short above the ground.
