The stem of this lettuce is a true delicacy. It has a green, fresh core and a nutty flavor. In terms of texture, it resembles a firm seedless cucumber with a translucent green color. Suitable for wok cooking, stewing or raw in a salad.
Sowing time indoors: March to April
Sowing time outdoors: March to July
Harvest time: May to September
Sowinginstructions: pre-sow, or directly in the field, from March to July. Striking lettuce whose stem is a delicacy. Begin harvest by removing the lower leaves for use in salad. A few weeks later, the entire plant/stem can be harvested once it reaches about 40cm in height.
