Stamslab Record or Double White is a great tasting double stamslab bean with round pods in bunches of 4 to 5. It is a somewhat older variety that is especially suitable for early sowing. With later sowing the sensitivity to bean diseases can play a role. Incidentally, this is a very rich variety that gives delicious tender pods. Sow: Do this in the garden between mid May and mid June. Sow in lines or rows 50 cm apart. Keep 10 cm space between the beans in the row. Beans need sufficient heat and moderately moist soil. In wet and cold weather the beans germinate poorly. For early cultivation, sow under glass in late April. From mid-May the germinated plants are then planted out in the open. Do not use fresh manure. Harvest: Depending on the sowing time you can harvest from July. Suitable for freezing.
