Peas Kelvedon Wonder produces deliciously sweet peas. Plants grow only about 60 cm tall, allowing them to be grown without netting or row wood. This mid-early variety forms large, curvy pods in abundance. It is a crinkle-seeded variety, with the specific, extra sweet, pea taste. Sow: from February - in non-freezing weather - until April directly in the garden. Sow in rows or lines 45 cm apart and place the peas in the row 5 cm apart. Make sure that the soil remains sufficiently moist during growth. Do not use fresh farmyard manure. Harvest: from June to mid-July. Pick the pods when the peas are still juicy. If you pick too late, the peas will taste mealy. It is therefore advisable to continue picking regularly. Tip: plant peas in the same location only once every 6 years to minimize the risk of fungal diseases. Suitable for freezing.
