Both the run and the night house have an access door, in the laying nest you can reach the eggs through the opening roof. Furthermore, this handy coop features a removable manure drawer and a wooden walkway to reach the night pen. The access from indoor to outdoor pen can be closed (e.g. in case of cold, cleaning etc). The run can be closed by means of a door in the chicken coop. The outside run is completely open at the bottom so that the chickens can scratch around on the grass.

Tip from Marcel: We recommend placing the coops so that they are not in direct contact with a damp surface, it is also advisable to treat the coops with a water-repellent paint/stain a few days before use.Important information about our chicken coops: they are made of untreated pine wood, which is sensitive to moisture and mold. Our advice? Give the wood an extra coat of water-repellent paint or stain, but only on the outside. Move the hutch to a dry place with tiles or under a shelter, avoid direct contact with damp surfaces. Regular thorough cleaning and thorough drying is key (every 2 to 3 weeks). Additional tip: provide adequate ventilation and avoid excessive straw or wood sawdust that may impede air circulation.
