The hollyhock is related to the cheesy herbaceous plants (Malvaceae), this biennial mixture used to be called Althaea, now they are called Alcea rosea. Usually hollyhocks are crosses between different species. They can grow up to 180 centimeters tall and bloom beautifully with double-flowered flowers in a variety of shades.
