Pheromone against the preimot (Acrolepiopsis assectella). The capsule is active for 6 weeks, 4 weeks in warm months. 1 capsule per bag.
The leek moth lays small white eggs on the leeks. These eggs become caterpillars (white-yellow-green) that grow +-1cm long and eat the leek. The leek moth attacks leeks but also onions, garlic and shallots.
The pheromone attracts male plumed moths and prevents them from reproducing. Female moths are unable to lay eggs if they are not fertilized.
The pheromone capsule/disc may look different than shown. Of course we always ensure the highest pheromone quality, they are freshly produced and therefore have a shelf life of 2 years in the freezer.
How to use?
Place the pheromone in a delta trap. Place this trap just above the vegetables you want to protect and fix it so it does not come loose in strong winds. Do not place the trap on the ground either because then it gets contaminated by splashing earth when it rains.

The pheromones are all individually packaged in an aluminum pouch allowing you to drop the pheromone capsule directly from the pouch. This ensures that you do not contaminate the pheromone with the smell of your hands. You should NOT open or touch the pheromone but drop it into the center of the glue plate on the delta trap.
When
- Mid April to end of May = first capsule.
- End of June until end of August = 2nd capsule
How?
- Do not touch the capsule! Your own body odor disturbs the smell. It is best to wear gloves.
- Do not open the capsule!
- Place the capsule in the center of the glue board in the delta trap.
- The male moths will fly around the pheromone until they stick to the glue plate.
Store?
You can store the capsules in the freezer for up to 2 years.
