Oxalis triangularis oseille

Do you already know the tasty houseplant Oxalis triangularis?

In the coming weeks, we will be highlighting a number of special herbs. Oxalis triangularis' or sorrel is the first plant to be launched. It is also called the Lucky Clover, and that is certainly not a lie. This edible houseplant, yes you read that right, is a small piece of luck in both the living room and the kitchen garden.

🍀 Sweet and sour heart-shaped leaves

With its dark purple heart-shaped leaves, which with a little imagination look like graceful butterflies, and its sweet and sour touch, it lifts every salad to a higher level. During the flowering period, small decorative lilac-coloured flowers appear and close as the sun sets. These can also be eaten or elegantly draped on your summer dishes. Sorrel is a tuberous plant and is therefore not sown but planted. We choose to sell seedlings so that you have a good head start and can enjoy the delicious sorrel shortly after planting!

🍀 Plant location

The Lucky Clover likes to catch a lot of light, but don't put it in the full sun in summer, because it might get burnt. Although it originates from South America, it does not like it too hot. You should also take this into account indoors, so do not place it right next to a window. Besides regular watering, the sorrel does not have many requirements.

Would you like to enjoy this special plant all year round? You can keep the Lucky Clover in a pot during the winter, and give it a spot on your terrace during the summer months!
