Tuber capucia - East Indian cherry in tuber form are planted April-May and harvested November-December. The recommended planting distance is 45 cm in the rows and 45 cm between the rows. The yield of the rather large tubers is good and the disease resistance is also high. It is a fairly large growing plant with shoots up to 1.5 m. These tubers are ideal for cooking or baking.
