Barenbrug Water Saver is a unique grass seed mixture for creating an ecological lawn . The result of this grass seed is a deep-rooting lawn that can withstand prolonged drought . So you can save a lot of money on watering!
This grass seed germinates more slowly than the standard grass mixture. It germinates at a soil temperature from 15°C. We recommend sowing from April to early October, but this is of course dependent on weather conditions.
This grass seed is used, among other things, for laying out lawns on dry sandy soil.
Drought-resistant grass: While other lawns fail and dry out due to the heat and drought, your Water Saver lawn will remain green. This is because this grass mixture contains grass varieties that excel against drought and heat! Barenbrug Water Saver grass seed also contains varieties that are known for their ability to recover. Thus, the slightly discolored grasses quickly become green again after dry weather. Thanks to deep rooting reed grasses, Water Saver grass draws water from deeper layers of the soil. This grass seed can root up to 60cm deep (instead of 10-15cm), which also makes it ideal for laying out a lawn on dry sandy soil. This way you don't have to water constantly in case of drought and you save up to 70% irrigation water.
How to use?
1. Level the surface, remove stones & weeds and fertilize the soil2
